About Jennifer Cassata

Dr. Jennifer Coyne Cassata has served as the director of accountability since 2010, and is responsible for providing key strategic, data-driven problem-solving support to Division and school leadership. She and her team are responsible for strategic planning, testing, program evaluation, data analysis and reporting, and records management.

Dr. Cassata has over 20 years of experience working in Virginia school divisions. Prior to her current role, she served as supervisor of program evaluation for five years. Prior to joining PWCS, Dr. Cassata was a program evaluation specialist for Fairfax County Public Schools for five years.

Dr. Cassata has served as a member of the advisory board for the George Mason University Educational Psychology Program. She has also taught courses at George Mason University in research methods and in test design.

She earned her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Iowa and holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Wesleyan University.
