Preschool Registration Process

Step 1: Complete the Online  Preschool Application.  (Español

  • Current preschool parents, please call the PK Office to apply for another child. 

Step 2: Upload the following documents during the Online Application:  

  • Proof of Income: Acceptable documents include a copy of last year's income taxes, W2 statement, recent paystub, child support statement, TANF or SSI statement, retirement statement, or employer letter stating gross income. 
  • Primary Proof of Residency: Acceptable documents include a lease, rental agreement, mortgage statement,  or deed. 
  • 2 Additional Proofs of Residency: Acceptable documents include a copy of the parent's Drivers License, car registration, utility bill, tax bill, or other official bill or statement listing the residence and parent's name.  
  • Copy of your child's Birth Certificate
  • Child's Immunization Record
  • Child's most current Physical Exam

Step 3: Complete a phone interview with a Preschool Family Service Worker.

  • Once applications are received, families will be contacted to review eligibility. 
  • During the phone interview, you will be asked to review your application information and family income. 
  • Applications are not considered complete without a copy of income documents, Birth Certificate,  and at least one proof of address. 

Step 4: Notice of Acceptance and completion of Orientation.

  • Selections for the Preschool Program begin in April, and continue until classes are filled.
  • Children are accepted according to enrollment criteria to ensure that children with the highest need receive priority. Enrollment criteria are based on multiple factors and are set by federal and state guidelines.
  • Children who live within school boundaries served receive first priority. Out of area children whose parents are willing to provide transportation may be accepted if space remains after all eligible children are selected. 
  • Families receive official notification of acceptance via an email from their Family Service Worker. The acceptance email will have links for Parent Orientation, Online Registration through Parent Vue,  and a list of any missing documents, to include:
    • Complete physical exam (within the past 12 months)
    • Complete immunization records
    • Any medical plans needed for asthma, food allergies, or other medical conditions
    • Complete proof of address documents (a total of three required)
