The Professional Library is an education research library providing services to PWCS employees, graduate and undergraduate students, and others who need access to materials related to education.

The library is located on the first floor of the Kelly Leadership Center.

The library is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday Please call before visiting the library to ensure that someone is available to assist you.


Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC)

The OPAC is available online. Print books and journals can be sent to you through interoffice mail. Contact the library staff for access to the Professional Library eBook collection.

Research assistance may be requested by contacting the Professional Library staff at 703-791-7334, by email, or visit the library to discuss your research request. OPAC online


Digital Sources

EBSCOHost includes databases such as Educational Full Text (H.W. Wilson) and Professional Development Collection, which provide highly specialized, peer-reviewed, full-texted journals designed for educators.

Once logged into EBSCOHost using the Prince William County Public Schools username and password, you can create your own “My EBSCOHost” personalized folder account. The accounts are free and easy to set up and allow the user to store articles, create journal alerts, and save, email, or print search results.

Circulation Policy

  • Professional titles have a four week check out period. You may request to have them renewed for an additional four weeks.
  • Return items in person or through interoffice mail, please address the envelope to Professional Library - Kelly Leadership Center . 
  • Fines are charged to replace LOST books, journals, videos, or other library materials; charges include ordering and processing costs in addition to replacement cost. [Default charge: Books = $50; Journal = $10/per copy; Videos = $100]
  • No overdue fines are charged; prompt return of items is appreciated.
