Please join the Prince William County Schools Office of Benefits and Retirement Services on Friday, April 7th at the annual Health, Wellness and Benefits Fair in the Atrium of the Kelly Leadership Center, located at 14715 Bristow Road, Manassas, VA. There will be:
Benefit vendors and wellness exhibitors
Demonstrations and health information
Benefits staff to assist with enrollment questions.
Stop by during the Benefits/Wellness Fair to ask benefit questions and obtain enrollment information to assist you with your Open Enrollment decisions.

mammography unit is coming to a location near you. The
elegant, self-contained coach offers the latest technology
for on-site breast cancer screenings, a highly qualified all
female staff and a private dressing room. The mobile unit
offers a one-stop screening performed in a comfortable
and convenient environment that reduces time away from
the office for personal appointments.
Women are eligible if they:
• Are over the age of 40.
• Have not had a mammogram in the last 12 months.
• Have no existing lumps or breast pain.
• Have seen a physician in the last 24 months.

Expecting? Maternity Leave Workshop

Having a baby is an exciting and busy time in an expectant parent’s life. The Office of Benefits & Retirement Services will hold a Maternity Leave Workshop at the Kelly Leadership Center, room 1101A/B, on Monday April 24, 2017from 4:30–6 p.m. We will have the materials, forms, and facts you need to plan your maternity and childcare-related leave. All expectant employees and their spouses or significant others are encouraged to attend, as well as anyone thinking of having a baby in the near future.
Due to space limitations created by the rescheduled date, we are limited to attendees who had RSVP'd for the previous date. Any new RSVPs will be placed on a waitlist and confirmed on a first-come-first-served basis contingent on space.

Why Do You Save For Retirement?

This could be a picture of your loved ones who you want to provide for in retirement or an example of how you wish to spend your time in retirement; the choice is yours! All entries must be uploaded to the site no later than March 10, 2017. Public voting begins immediately and goes until March 25, 2017. Contest is open to all PWCS employees, but voting is open to the general public. The winner will be determined by the amount of pubic votes.

1095-C Filing for Tax Year 2016
In order to address any confusion regarding filing a tax return for the 2016 tax year without a 1095-C or 1095-B the Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) Office of Benefits and Retirement Services has provided the following link to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) website with questions and answers regarding 1095-C’s and 1095-B’s. Click here to access the IRS web page relative to 1095-C and 1095-B reporting. According to the IRS, it is permissible to file taxes without the 1095-C or 1095-B. The 1095-C and 1095-B are to be kept by the employee, but are not required to be filed with the IRS. PWCS issued1095-C by the due date of March 2, 2017 in compliance with IRS federal guidelines. We are reaching the time of year when our budgeted funds are nearly exhausted. If you are currently registered for a spring class, please submit your tuition reimbursement request as soon as possible as we must process in the order received. Once funds are exhausted, all requests are placed on a waitlist pending any additional funds in our fiscal year budget. This waitlist ends with the close of the 2016-17 fiscal year budget and does NOT transfer to the 2017-18 fiscal year. NEW PRESCRIPTION PLAN PROVIDER
Effective July 1, 2016, the Prince William County Public Schools health insurance plans switched to WellDyneRX as our provider for prescription medications for all health insurance packages. You will need to present your WellDyneRX prescription card at the pharmacy for your provider to verify your benefits. You can register with the WellDyneRX website at www.myWDRX.com following these instructions. The site will ask for a BIN# to register. The BIN# for PWCS is 008878. Your member ID number will be PW and your 6-digit PWCS employee ID number (ex. PW012345). Once you have registered online with WellDyneRX, you can also visit your app store on your smart phone to download a mobile app to have access to your prescription benefits on the go.
