Prince William County School Board to meet on July 15 to approve plans for reopening of schools

The Prince William County School Board will hold a hybrid physical/virtual meeting on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, for the limited purpose of approving plans for the reopening of Prince William County Public Schools. The meeting will begin with Closed Session at 6 p.m., followed by the Open Meeting at 7 p.m. at the Kelly Leadership Center, located at 14715 Bristow Road, Manassas, Virginia.

While some Board members are expected to physically assemble in the School Board meeting room, due to the ongoing pandemic, other members of the School Board will participate in the meeting through electronic means under the authority granted by the General Assembly on April 22, 2020 through Amendment 29 to HB 29.

The meeting will be open to the public subject to social distancing limitations and limited to 250 persons. Citizens are strongly encouraged to wear face coverings and will be provided with distanced seating. Patrons may sign up to speak to the School Board in person or virtually about matters relating to the reopening of schools only.
