Newly hired staff to Prince William County Public Schools must apply for a Virginia Department of Education issued License within 30 days of the in-person orientation when the contracted assignment provides instruction or services to students.

Licensure requirements are essential in maintaining continued employment and should be placed as a high priority as you begin your employment with PWCS.

All licensure documentation must be provided to the Prince William County Office of Certification. Do not send documents to the Virginia Department of Education while employed with a Virginia school division.
