Come Grow With Us
Prince William County Schools (PWCS) utilizes administrative pools to fill vacancies. The administrative application process to be admitted into the PWCS candidate pool includes specific screening steps: application assessment, online assessment, and in-person assessment. Once candidates are admitted into a candidate pool, they have an opportunity to engage in professional development led by experienced PWCS leaders.
Vacancies are announced to candidates in the respective PWCS candidate pool. The interview process for a specific school vacancy includes a resume and cover letter screening followed by the school-community panel interview for selected candidates.
Maintaining a diverse candidate pool has helped PWCS to provide targeted professional development for potential building leaders interested in a wide range of leadership opportunities. It has provided candidates with an opportunity to share their vision with members of our senior leadership team and to grow in the site-based management practices unique to PWCS.
